New Details On Woman Who Crashed Police HQ

New details on that woman who led police on a high-speed chase that ended when she crashed a stolen pickup into San Angelo police headquarters back in June. 24-year-old Amanda Jeffreys of Manor has now been indicted for stealing the truck, evading police and damage to the police station. Now, details have come out that Jeffreys stole the truck by beckoning its driver to the side of a street and asking for a ride. The truck's driver said Jeffreys appeared to be drunk. Still, he drove to a convenience store and left her in the truck -- with the engine running -- while he went inside. When he came back out, he said Jeffreys was driving away. Police chased her through several residential neighborhoods before she finally plowed into police headquarters where damage is now estimated at around 100-thousand dollars.
