A teacher at Veribest High School has been honored by Humanities Texas with its Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award. Nancy Cooper is one of only 11 teachers so honored in the state of Texas. The award comes with a check for five-thousand dollars, most of which Cooper plans to use to buy books and supplies for her classroom. In addition, Humanities Texas presents Veribest ISD with 500 dollars.
