Improvements along 82 miles of track from San Angelo Junction through San Angelo are now complete and train speeds will be increased, starting next Monday. According to TxDOT's operator of the line, Texas -Pacifico, trains will now be allowed to travel 25 miles an hour instead of the previous 10 miles an hour. The increase will affect 77 crossings in Tom Green County. Texas-Pacifico will still limit trains to 15 miles an hour in the city of San Angelo.
