A San Angelo man is facing a variety of charges after he was spotted by police riding a bicycle without a headlamp Monday night near the area of North Chadbourne and 22nd Street. Officers say 41-year-old Reynaldo Rivera ignored their commands and rode to the parking lot at a 7-11, fled to the restroom inside and tried to flush a small package down the toilet. A struggle ensued during which Rivera allegedly resisted, retrieved the package and attempted to swallow the contents. Additional officers helped subdue and arrest Rivera.
