Hickory Aquifer update

The City of San Angelo reports that the 30-inch water transmission pipeline from the Hickory Aquifer is more than 60 percent complete and on schedule for substantial completion in July. Interim Water Utilities Director Ricky Dickson reported that 38 and a half miles of the 62-point-four-mile pipeline from the McCulloch County well field has been laid. The Hickory Aquifer is being developed to supplement San Angelo's water supply by as much as 9 million gallons per day.
