The 51st District Attorney's Office in San Angelo has announced the new First Assistant District Attorney. That position became vacant when Allison Palmer was sworn in on January 1st as District Attorney. Taking over for Palmer will be John Best, who has served as an assistant DA for both the 51st and 119th DA's offices for the past 11 years. Palmer calls Best--quote--"an experienced, veteran prosecutor who has successfully handled numerous complicated cases and trials."
