Nature Center Groundhog Day

The San Angelo Nature Center will celebrate Groundhog Day with the burrower's West Texas cousin, the prairie dog, this Saturday, February 2nd, with free admission, door prizes, games for kids, and a chance to buy a family membership at a special, reduced price. The Nature Center is located on Knickerbocker Road in Mary E Lee Park. City Councilman Paul Alexander, whose district includes the center, will team with Nature Center Director Michael Price in pulling Emmy, the center's precocious prairie dog, from a makeshift burrow to determine the weather forecast.
