A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for parts of West Central Texas, including the Concho Valley. The National Weather Service at San Angelo says showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect most of the area today. The main hazard will be the possibility of localized flooding due to locally heavy rain falling on already saturated soils. Thunderstorms will also be capable of producing deadly cloud-to-ground lightning.
