3-vehicle crash

San Angelo police say alcohol was a factor in a crash late Tuesday night involving three vehicles. They say a San Angelo man was eastbound on West Houston Harte when his Chevy truck hit a sign causing a tire to burst. The driver, identified as 20-year-old James Bejarano, allegedly fled the scene eastbound to the 4000 block of Houston Harte where he stopped in the center lane, turned out the truck lights and passed out. The driver of a Dodge Caliber headed northbound didn't see the parked truck, crashed into it and spun sideways and was then hit by a GMC Yukon attempting to get around the truck. The driver of the Caliber was not hurt; the other two drivers sustained non-incapacitating injuries and were treated at Shannon Medical Center. Bejarano was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
