Good news for San Angelo's mayor. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has cleared Alvin New of charges that he illegally watered his land with Concho River water. The Christoval landowner who filed the complaint wasn't satisfied, claiming that New received preferential treatment. According to the Standard Times, New says--quote--"Water causes a lot of emotions."
