Good news from the San Angelo Chamber Of Commerce, which notes the latest sales tax report shows an increase of almost 14 percentover the same month a year ago. That marks the 27th straight month of sales taxes increasing year over year. The year-to-date increase is 11-point-seven percent over last year. In addition, 19-hudnred more people held a job in Tom Green County compared to a year prior, and single-family residential home sales were up 20 percent over last year. Unemployment in San Angelo is at four-point-eight percent.
