Shooting investigation

Just before 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, San Angelo Police responded to a 911 call of a shooting victim in the 600 block of West 16th Street. Upon arrival, police found a man about 30 years old with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Fire Department Personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to Shannon Medical Center. His condition was not immediately known nor is the type of firearm used. Officers were advised on scene that the man was shot while standing in the front yard of a residence. At this time, there is no information on a suspect.
