The Helping Hands organization says applications are now available for assistance for low-income elderly homeowners in need of repair work on their homes. Applications are being taken at the Galilee Community Development Corporation offices on South Oakes Oakes by appointment only. The deadline for applications for the April project is Friday, January 18th. Helping Hands, in partnership with community volunteers, restores the homes of low-income elderly homeowners making them safe, secure, and weatherproof, all at no cost to the homeowner.
