An early Tuesday morning traffic stop led to a brief chase and drug arrest in north San Angelo. An officer tried to stop a vehicle in the 600 block of West 29th Street for a traffic violation. The white 2004 Cadillac Deville occupied by three individuals turned north on North Bryant Boulevard and eventually stopped in the parking lot of a Sonic Restaurant. At that point, one of the passengers got out and fled, discarding objects as he ran. Police caught up to the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Hector Saenz of San Angelo. And they found a handgun and two bags of methamphetamine. Saenz was arrested on multiple charges.
