NYE drinking and driving

If you plan to be on the road tonight for New Year's Eve, you are advised to plan ahead. The Texas Department of Public Safety urges you to get a designated driver or PASS--person appointed to stay sober. TxDOT says that even if you think you're okay to drive after one or two drinks, you could be wrong. Not only will you be endangering your life and others, you could stand to lose a lot of money; the common DWI arrest carries a minimum fine of 17-thousand dollars.
