A scam warning has been issued by First Community Federal Credit Union in San Angelo. Be aware that both members and non-members are receiving fraudulent texts telling them to call a phone number indicating it belongs to 1st Community or another financial institution. When they called the number, they were immediately asked to give their debit card number. Do not give it out. Financial institutions have all your information on file. They will not be calling or texting you to request that information. If you responded to these texts and gave out your account or debit card number, you are asked to contact the Credit Union immediately.
