The City of San Angelo's Public Information Office is a finalist for two statewide awards - Best Use of Social Media and Best Media Relations - at the annual conference of the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers next month. Social media has increasingly become an important communication tool for the City of San Angelo, which has a Facebook page with more than 76-hundred followers, a Twitter account with nearly 14-hundred followers, and a YouTube channel with more than 400-thousand views. Award winners will be announced June 7th.
