Fort Concho National Historic Landmark will honor our nation's military with its annual Armed Forces Day celebration this Saturday. It will take place from from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Parade Ground near the Barracks 1 Visitor Center. On display will be an armored Humvee from Goodfellow Air Force Base and the Fort's new 19th-century gatling gun, a gift from the NRA Foundation. The mule team of Tom and Mack will be offering rides on the Fort's ambulance wagon and a Wells Fargo stagecoach will be brought onto the Parade Ground.
