San Angelo bomb scare

A suspicious, bound package discovered along Knickerbocker Road was found to contain nothing but an empty bag on Friday afternoon. Traffic in that immediate area was shut down for about 25 minutes as the box was torn open by a high-pressured stream of water from a San Angelo Fire Department truck. The box was found that morning sitting alongside a fence separating Angelo Place Apartments and Scott Allison Real Estate by a maintenance worker. Fire Marshal Ross Coleman said it appeared the package was purposely left where it could cause alarm and that his office would fully investigate.
