San Angelo water pipeline project continues

San Angelo Water Utilities Director Ricky Dickson says the 30-inch pipeline from the Hickory Aquifer is nearly complete and is set for substantial completion by July 16th. The work has moved inside the city and has become more intricate as it crosses utility lines, roadways and the Concho River. Substantial completion of the booster pump station is expected for June 18th. Plans and specifications for the groundwater treatment facility have been sent to the state and the project is out for bids. Plans for five to seven more wells at the McCulloch County well site also have been sent out for bids. The 62 mile pipeline will be able to deliver 6 million gallons of water per day to the city.
