Fort Concho exhibit

Famed Comanche chief Quanah Parker is the subject of a new exhibit at Fort Concho’s Barracks One Visitor Center. Created under the direction of the Texas Lakes Trail Heritage Program, the display of maps, photos and illustrations covers the story of Quanah and his mother, Cynthia Ann Parker, a white woman captured by the Comanches in an 1836 raid at Fort Parker in East Texas. The visitor center is located at 630 South Oakes Street and the display continues through June 27th.
