AUSTIN, Texas (AP) State lawmakers have passed a wide-ranging overhaul of high school standardized testing and curriculum standards. Both the House and Senate passed separate versions of bills on testing and curriculum requirements and charter school expansion. A compromise reached in conference committee reconciled the different versions and was approved yesterday in both chambers.
