Up to now, the San Angelo Public Housing Authority was not allowed to help residents living more than five miles outside the city limits. Tuesday, Tom Green County Commissioners approved an extension of the Authority's service area. The agency handles rental assistance and financial aid from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
