Weather Service birthday party

You can celebrate the birthday of the National Weather Service right here in San Angelo tomorrow. The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club is throwing a party for the forecasting agency, which is turning 142 this year. It was originally known as the National Weather Bureau when it was established by a joint resolution of Congress and signed into law by President Grant in 1870. The celebration starts at 10 AM and includes lunch at the Radio Club house at Mathis Field Airport.
