In the first fund-raising campaign in the school's 85-year-history,, Angelo State University surpassed its goal of 35-million dollars. ASU President Brian May announced the successful conclusion of the "Campaign for Angelo State University," which had received more than 35-point-five million dollars in in donations by the end of June, two months before the fund-raising effort was scheduled to end. May said the supporters' "generosity will touch ASU students for generations to come."
