Tuesday morning crash

Just after seven o'clock Tuesday morning, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the scene of a one-vehicle crash in the eastbound lane of the 2700 block of West Houston Harte. The crash caused traffic delays on the loop for over an hour. Police say a 46-year-old San Angelo resident was traveling east on the loop when his 2004 Dodge Ram pickup went into a skid, causing it to leave the roadway and crash into a light pole and cable barrier. The driver, who was not injured, told police the accident was caused by wet road conditions. The investigating officer also listed unsafe speed as a factor. No citations were immediately issued.
