Colts end six-game skid

The San Angelo Colts snapped their longest losing streak of the season last night. They won at Edinburg Baseball Stadium five to two over the Roadrunners. The Roadrunners led two to nothing in the first inning, but the Colts kept them from scoring for the rest of the game. Eric Sheridan only allowed three Roadrunners to reach base between the third and eighth innings.

The Texas Rangers had a tough day in Cleveland yesterday. They only managed two hits as they lost to the Indians six to nothing. Alexi Ogando only gave up one run, but he did not make it out of the fifth inning. The Indians scored three runs off of Robbie Ross in the sixth to pull away from the Rangers. The Rangers host the Los Angeles Angels tonight at six-oh-five.

The Houston Astros also had a tough day yesterday. Their troubles, though, proved more dramatic north of the other border. Colby Rasmus singled home the winning run in the ninth to lead the Toronto Blue Jays to victory two to one. Jarred Cosart pitched well for six innings for the Astros. Brett Wallace homered in the fourth to account for the team's only run.
