Colts win third straight game at home

A passed ball in the bottom of the ninth allowed the San Angelo Colts to win their third straight game to start their final homestand of the season. Cody Hudson scampered home last night to give them a five to four win over the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings. Steve Rinaudo homered twice for the Colts. The teams play a doubleheader at Foster Field tonight that starts at six-oh-five.

For the third consecutive night, the Texas Rangers ended their game with a home run. This time, Adrian Beltre led off the bottom of the ninth with a homer to give the Rangers a two to one win over the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers host the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at six-oh-five.

The Houston Astros had a good night last night. Brett Oberholtzer pitched seven scoreless innings for his first win in the big leagues as the Astros routed the Orioles in Baltimore eleven to nothing. Jason Castro hit a grand slam in the fourth inning. The teams reconvene at Camden Yards tonight at six-oh-five. Before last night's game, the Astros traded pitcher Bud Norris to the Orioles for outfielder L-J Hoes and a minor league prospect.
