Colts begin 15-game homestand tonight

The San Angelo Colts begin their final homestand of the season this evening. The Colts play fifteen in a row at Foster Field. They start with a doubleheader against the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings. The first of two seven-inning games begins at six-oh-five.

Also in baseball tonight, the Texas Rangers host the Los Angeles Angels at seven-oh-five, and the Houston Astros visit the Baltimore Orioles at six-oh-five.

The Dallas Mavericks have signed rookie point guard Shane Larkin. However, the first-round pick may not take the floor until training camp in October. He still has a broken right ankle. Larkin can make one-point-two-eight-million dollars under the rookie salary scale.

Also in the N-B-A, the Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Rockets have re-signed Marcus Camby for the veteran's minimum of one-point-four-million-dollars.

Former Texas quarterback Connor Brewer has transferred to Arizona. Brewer led an Arizona high school to three straight titles, making himself one of the nation's highest-rated quarterbacks last year.

In the N-F-L, the Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Texans have signed linebacker Joe Mays to a one-year contract for one-million dollars.
