The burn ban in Tom Green County is off. Commissioners were told Tuesday that recent state-wide moisture indicators are moving closer to the normal range. As a result, they did NOT enact a burn ban. However, residents are still reminded that if they plan a controlled burn of brush, grass, etc., to--one--contact the Sheriff’s Dispatch Office to inform them of the planned burn. And--two--be Cautious, check the forecast and NEVER burn during windy conditions.
