Autopsy In Oil Rig Death of SA Man

An autopsy coming this week on a San Angelo man who was killed late last week in an oil field accident. Authorities in Reagan County say 21-year-old Chase Dillon of San Angelo died in the accident while working on a Robinson Drilling oil rig. He died at a local hospital. Dillon's death has now prompted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to open an investigation into safety procedures involving Robinson rigs. Three deaths reportedly occurred at a single Robinson rig in 2011, prompting the family of one of the victims to demand it be shut down. So far, no further details of the accident that killed Dillon.
