San Angelo Police say a man walked into Lynda's Pawn Shop Tuesday afternoon and asked to look at a handgun. After an employee unlocked the case and handed him the weapon, the man ran out the door with it. A witness described the man and another person waiting outside in a vehicle. Tuesday evening, officers located the vehicle and two men matching the descriptions. 32-year-old David Lynn Roach and 27-year-old Blayne Andrew Purdue were arrested on charges of theft of a firearm. Police say they are connected to the robbery of a 19-hundred dollar watch earlier in the day from Kay Jewelers at Sunset Mall. Both the watch and handgun were recovered.
