Congressman visits San Angelo to talk healthcare

San Angelo's Congressional representative, Mike Conaway was in town Thursday and spoke to about 35 civic and business leaders about the Affordable Care Act. The Supreme Court upheld much of the law June 28, and now it's a matter of getting down to the business of implementing it. Texas has to decide whether to expand Medicaid by 2014, and whether to establish a health care exchange or let the federal government do it. Conaway said yesterday states need to live with the law now, but a repeal is still possible.
