Three people escaped a San Angelo housefire uninjured on Saturday night. It happened in the 700 block of West Avenue Z. According to firefighters, the people in the house had been cooking, left the kitchen and returned to find it on fire. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes but the residence suffered 100 percent fire damage. The three people left homeless were being assisted by the Red Cross and crisis intervention units.
