Quick work by San Angelo firefighters kept a home from burning Thursday afternoon. A fire in the 700 block of East 18th Street could have ignited a nearby woodframe house where workers were replacing the roof. The fire rekindled when crews attempted to use an extinguisher but they were able to put it out before any property was damaged.
