Vancourt Semi Crash, Oil Leak

A truck driver injured, a highway closed and a mess on the road near an unincorporated community in eastern Tom Green County this morning.
D-P-S troopers say a semi carrying 40-thousand gallons of gear lubrication veered off the road and overturned on Highway 87 near Vancourt early today. Troopers say the truck driver, 60-year-old Larry Satterlee of McQueeny, was taken to a hospital with a possible broken arm. They say the semi apparently veered off the highway on a curve, corrected, then left the road and overturned , sliding around a hundred yards before coming to a stop. Some oil was reported leaking from the truck. Highway 87 closed for hours while the accident was cleaned up and efforts were made to pump the remaining oil out of the truck's tank.
