Traffic signals knocked out

San Angelo police have announced on Facebook that the traffic lights are out at the intersection of West Beauregard and South Abe near Eskimo Hut. That's because, early Sunday morning, a vehicle ran into the traffic signal pole, knocking the pole and controller out of the ground. Police and signal department workers were busy on Sunday, placing the remaining lights on red flashing for southbound traffic and playing temporary four-way stop signs in the middle of the intersection. Police say it will take four weeks to repair the traffic signals.
