Shannon Medical Center has earned a place on the Target Stroke Honor Roll and the Get With the Guidelines®- Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award. Target Stroke is a national quality initiative campaign of the American Heart and American Stroke Association designed to improve outcomes for ischemic stroke patients. Hospitals placed on the honor roll must meet door-to-needle times of 60 minutes or less in at least 50 percent of ischemic stroke patients treated with the clot-busting drug TPA.
