A week from next Monday, May 15th, is Peace Officers Memorial Day as proclaimed by President Kennedy In 1962 and it begins Police Week. San Angelo police are planning several events that will be open the public, including a flag-raising ceremony at the police department on Monday, a mass for fallen officers on Tuesday, an ecumenical service for fallen officers on Wednesday and a Police Memorial Run and Walk on Wednesday at San Angelo Stadium.
