Drought Level 3 May Be Implemeneted

This may be the last week before even more severe water restrictions go into effect. The San Angelo City Council is considering moving the city into Drought Contingency Level Three, the most stringent set of rules designed to preserve the city's water supply. The Council could make the leap next week, although when the new rules would go into effect isn't yet known. Under Level Three, no watering at all would be permitted for lawns, plants, shrubs and golf courses. No car washing or re-filling of swimming pools and fountains, either. San Angelo's water supply has steadily dropped due to the extended drought. City officials say that by October, there will be about a year of water left without further efforts to conserve it.
