Shannon Medical Center reported Tuesday that one of four patients being treated at Shannon for West Nile virus died over the weekend. The only information released about the patient is that the person was not a resident of Tom Green County and was over the age of 50. Health experts say the very young and older people are most susceptible to the West Nile virus.
