Water change

If you notice your water tasting a little different, here's why: on Monday, the City of San Angelo began temporarily changing the method of disinfection used in its public water supply. The Water Department is switching from chloramine, a mixture of ammonia and chlorine, to chlorine only, for about eight weeks. The city says this is a normal procedure for water systems, ensuring water safety and the highest quality of drinking water. You might initially notice a "chlorine odor" and slight discoloration. Those symptoms should lessen after the first few weeks and do not affect the safety of the water supply.
