The suspect in a domestic disturbance in San Angelo wound up being shot by police. The incident happened early Sunday morning at the Riverbend Mobile Home Estates. San Angelo police say the suspect attacked and strangled an officer who was attempting to take him into custody. As the officer was about to lose consciousness, he fired his service weapon, hitting the suspect, who died from his injuries. The officer was transported to a local hospital, treated and released. The incident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
