As the republican National Convention gets under way in Tampa, it's doing so without Tom Green County Commissioner Yantis Green. Green gave up his convention seat after being fired as manager of an area water district that's now the subject of an F-B-I investigation. Green is being replaced by alternate convention delegate, former Midland mayor J-D Faircloth. The water district says the F-B-I now has Green's personnel records. Agents seized those records from the district's office in Veribest about a week after the water district board terminated Green, who also represents District Four on the County Commission, as its Manager.
