Friday night, San Angelo police spotted a suspicious vehicle in the 4200 block of Mercedes Street. While speaking to one of the two occupants, an officer noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Police service dog Reno was called to the scene and alerted officers to the presence of contraband. A search turned up a small plastic bag containing methamphetamine. 48-year-old Kelly Kerr of Christoval was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. The other person, 35-year-old Julie Kendrix of San Angelo, was released at the scene.
