Stay of execution

A convicted triple-murderer is back on death row after the U.S. Supreme Court stayed his execution less than an hour before he was to be given a lethal injection last night in Huntsville. John Balentine was convicted in the 1998 murders of his ex-girlfriend's brother and two 15-year-old boys in Amarillo. Balentine argues that he had ineffective legal representation that cost him a possible life sentence instead of death.
