On Friday, San Angelo police pursued a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on 17th and running three stop signs at North Bryant, MLK and Chadbourne. The vehicle came to a stop and the driver was caught after a brief foot chase. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Joe Saldana, said he was fleeing because he had an outstanding parole violation warrant. A passenger, 28-year-old Mary Lynn Brock was arrested for an oustanding warrant. Saldana is also facing drug charges after police say narcotics paraphernalia was found in his car and Ativan pills were found in his possession.
