Back in November, an Arrest Warrant for Interference with Child Custody was obtained for a Tom Green County woman. . At the time, it was believed that 44-year-old Elaine Zapata may have fled to south Texas. Last Saturday night, a Customs agent recognized a woman believed to be Zapata, accompanied by a small female child, crossing the border from Mexico into Eagle Pass, Texas. The woman's identity was confirmed to be Elaine Zapata and the girl accompanying her was identified as her five-year-old daughter. Zapata was arrested for her outstanding warrant. The child was released to a family member.
