Due to the success of the Angelo State University lecture series commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the series will be continued for the 2012-13 academic year with seven new programs. They will begin September 17th with "Reading the Civil War: Favorite Civil War Books." Other programs will include performances of Civil War music, topics including slavery in early Texas and a dramatic reading of original Civil War letters.
