The National Weather Service at San Angelo has issued a heat advisory for an area including the Concho Valley. Strong high pressure aloft will continue to produce very htot temperatures. These temperatures will combine with afternoon relative humidity values to produce heat index values up to 108 degrees. The potential for dangerous heat-related illnesses will increase. The heat advisory is in effect until eight o'clock tonight.
